Badruddin Ajmal plea on Ramazan

The AIUDF and the Char Sapori Sahitya Parishad, on Sunday urged Muslims to offer prayers and break their fasts during the month of Ramadan, which begins next week, inside their houses instead of gathering at mosques or any other public place in view of the coronavirus outbreak and the lockdown.

There is a lockdown in place till May 3 across the country and restrictions have been imposed on celebrating festivals and offering prayers at public places by followers of all religions during this period.

AIUDF president and Dhubri MP Badruddin Ajmal on Sunday requested the Muslim community not to offer taraweeh namaz which is usually done in a mosque with a large gathering. “In this Covid 19 pandemic everyone should be safe,” Ajmal said.
