The Bodoland People’s Front, an ally of the ruling BJP, will field its two-time Rajya Sabha member Biswajit Daimary for the Upper House seat from Assam, BPF president and Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) chief Hagrama Mohillary said in Kokrajhar on Sunday.
Addressing a news conference, Mohillary also said his party members would attend a meeting with BJP top brass in Guwahati on Monday to discuss the future course of action of the coalition regarding the forthcoming BTC polls scheduled to be held in mid-April.
Mohillary added that the representatives of all the four factions of the NDFB would have a talk with officials of the Centre and the Assam government in Guwahati on Monday regarding rehabilitation of its cadres and withdrawal of cases.
