The Arunachal University of Studies held its fourth convocation at Namsai on Friday.
Altogether 28 gold medallists and 487 doctoral, post-graduate and under graduate awardees attended the event.
A.L. Agarwal, the president of World Education Mission (sponsoring body of Arunachal University of Studies) graced the occasion and shared the vision plan of the university.
Namsai deputy commissioner Bijoy Talukdar was the chief guest.
The convocation commenced with an academic procession consisting of 35 dignitaries. Vice-chancellor O.P. Sharma delivered the inaugural speech.
He highlighted the university’s achievements in the past seven years and its future goals.
Agarwal shared his thoughts on the university’s mission in the coming years.
He emphasised on value-based education and dedication of the university for the local society.
He also applauded the university for awarding its first four PhD degrees and plan of commencing DLit and DSc from 2020-21.
