The Titabar unit of AASU waved black flags to a convoy of BJP leaders and an argument broke out with BJP supporters near the Deba Bora memorial auditorium at Na-Ali in Jorhat district on Monday.
The convoy included BJP state president Ranjeet Dass and Assam Rajya Sabha MP from Jorhat Kamakhya Prasad Tasa.

Titabar sub-division police officer A. Hojai said the convoy had stopped near a railway crossing and AASU me-mbers showed black flags and the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act slogans.
“This resulted in BJP supporters retaliating verbally,” he said.
