4000 Yaba tablets seized in Salmara

An official said some people were trying to throw the consignment over the fence from India to Bangladesh

The troops of Guwahati Frontier of BSF on Thursday seized almost 4,000 Yaba tablets and 4kg of suspected ganja a from bordering area of Jagrachar in South Salmara, which was allegedly being thrown over to the Bangladesh side.

According to the BSF officials, the BSF troops of the border outpost, based on a specific input about some suspicious activity on the India-Bangladesh border.

The official said some people were trying to throw the consignment of tablets over the fence from India to Bangladesh.

However, no persons were arrested in the operation but a source said the persons who were trying to throw the consignment to Bangladesh managed to escape.
