Two persons died in separate accidents at Bijulibari under Naoholia police beat and Chabua in Dibrugarh district on Tuesday.

Sources said Chandreswar Sah, 47, a resident of Bordubi Chaiding Bazar in Tinsukia district, died on the spot while he was returning home in a bicycle after selling vegetables. He was knocked down by a mini bus.

Police on Wednesday sent the body to the AMCH for post-mortem.

In another accident, Prasana Gogoi, 65, a retired employee of Assam Petro-chemical Ltd and resident of Borbari Banagali Era village under Chabua police station, died on Tuesday afternoon after his scooter collided with an ambulance near a rail crossing on National Highway -37.
