For Anand Puri, the third-generation restaurateur from
Kolkata, a panjabi is always a hit during the pujos. “It’s
lightweight, breathable, colorful, and practical,” he explained. This Durga
Puja, Anand has elegantly donned a regal white kurta by the clothing
brand Parama. Just as saris are a staple for women, a kurta is a must-have
fashion statement for men during pujo. As tradition holds, wearing a kurta
and sari on Ashtami is essential. The Trincas owner added, “Don’t be shy to
roll up those sleeves and show off a little... this is the season and reason
you’ve waited for all year.” Are you wearing ethnic attire this Ashtami like
Anand Puri? Comment and let us know on our social handles.
