Growing up in a city that counts down the days to Durga Puja almost a year in advance, we have all gotten used to the colour palettes to wear on each of the festive days. While Asthami and red go hand-in-hand, Navami deserves your darkest shade, be it a blue or a black. Designer Navonil Das recommends getting your best fit in a darker shade for Navami since it’s time to party after all the traditional programmes get done.
“I always wear a darker-shade kurta on Navami. And for those who don’t want to stick to kurtas, it’s time to get your western wear out. Women dress up in a traditional way right through Puja, and they deserve to bring their most sensual blouses out for Navami,” said Nil. So, get ready to look hot and classy on this Navami night of madness — be it for a party or the last day of pandal-hopping.
