Are you an Elton John fan? Then the documentary Elton
John: Never Too Late should be on your watchlist. Directed by R. J. Cutler
and David Furnish, it offers a glimpse into Elton John’s life during the Farewell
Yellow Brick Road concert tour. Starring Elton John himself, the
documentary will also highlight his iconic performances and provide insights
from his personal journals.
“Elton John: Never Too Late follows Elton John as he looks
back on his life and the astonishing early days of his 50-year career in this
emotionally charged, intimate and uplifting full-circle journey. As he prepares
for his final concert in North America at Dodger Stadium, Elton takes us back
in time to recount the extraordinary highs and heartbreaking lows of his early
years and how he overcame adversity, abuse and addiction to become the icon he
is today,” says the bio of the trailer by Disney+.
Elton John, a popular British singer and pianist, was a
Royal Academy of Music alumnus. The musician formed a band named Bluesology in
1962 which focused on Blues genre of music, but soon embarked on a solo career.
His debut album was Empty Sky in 1969. Elton John formed another band in
1970 called the Elton John Band. His songs are like his first single Your
Song or Sacrifice and Don’t Go Breaking My Heart. Speaking of
The Lion King and not mentioning Elton John’s music is impossible.
The documentary will air on Disney+ from December 13.
