Ten years ago, Tom Cruise essayed the role of Major William Cage in Edge of Tomorrow, bringing the pages of Hiroshi Sakurazaka’s Japanese Novel, All You Need Is Kill to life. Since then, the film has gained a cult status amidst science-fiction enthusiasts, apart from its action set-pieces. To celebrate a decade since its release, Cruise recently penned an emotional Instagram post, reminiscing about his first collaboration with director Dough Liman and actor Bill Paxton. He also appreciated co-star Emily Blunt’s performance, recognising the vulnerability and power she brought to the role. Fans also expressed how much they have enjoyed repeat viewings of the film in the comments. This post has been a part of a series of multiple such nostalgic posts by Cruise, who has been looking back upon his work in multiple Warner Bros. projects including Top Gun, in light of his upcoming strategic partition with the production house. We can’t wait to see what he does next!
If you want to relive the nostalgia and action, you can rent the movie on Prime Video and give it a watch again.
