Are you a Bob Dylan fan? Then the upcoming film, A Complete Unknown, should be on your watchlist. This biographical drama will see Timothée Chalamet essaying the role of Bob Dylan, and is based on the book Dylan Goes Electric! by Elijah Wald.
The film is directed by James Mangold and is written by Jay Cocks and Mangold. The star cast also includes Edward Norton as Peete Seeger, Elle Fanning as Sylvie Russo, Dan Fogler as Albert Grossman, Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez and Scoot McNairy as Woody Guthrie, among others.
According to Searchlight Pictures’ YouTube bio, the film is set in the influential New York music scene of the early 1960s. A Complete Unknown follows the 19-year-old Minnesota musician Bob Dylan, as he rises from a folk singer to a global sensation — culminating in his groundbreaking electric rock performance at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965.
A Complete Unknown is set to release in December this year.
