Who could’ve imagined that Logan Roy from the smash-hit HBO show, Succession, would have the alter ego of Santa Claus? Netflix’s upcoming film, That Christmas, has managed this epic casting coup. Centred around the holidays, this animated film is about a group of kids and parents coming to terms with how one can’t always plan for Christmas, augmented by a mistake from Santa himself. At the core is a story about how, if one removes the gifts, traditions and fluff from the festival, at the very core, it is about spending time with the people we love. Based on a trilogy of children’s books by Richard Curtis, the film marks his return to the festive genre almost two decades after penning one of the most iconic Christmas films, Love Actually. Streaming on December 4, That Christmas is sure to give every viewer a warm, fuzzy feeling in their hearts.
