Love Twin Peaks? This is a great week to visit the Lynchian lore as Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me just turned 30! The film which was released in 1992 was a prequel to David Lynch’s widely-loved mystery series Twin Peaks. The film follows the investigation into the murder of Teresa Banks (Pamela Gidley) and also chronicles the last seven days in the life of Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee), whose eventual murder was the focus of Twin Peaks, the show.
The film failed at the box office and was panned by the critics upon its release. But Lynch’s fans consider the film a crucial part of the Twin Peaks franchise and over the years Fire Walk With Me has been hailed as a masterful piece of filmmaking. So, if you’re staying in this weekend, consider visiting the murky mystery set at the heart of a sleepy town.
