Marvel just dropped a two-minute teaser for the next chapter of Black Panther during the San Diego Comic-Con. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is the sequel to 2018's Black Panther, which starred the late Chadwick Boseman as the crime-fighting ruler of Wakanda. The MCU fandom has been anxious about the future of the series after Boseman tragically passed away in 2020. The movie’s teaser confirms that the film will pay an emotional tribute to T’Challa’s legacy.
Tenoch Huerta (of Narcos: Mexico fame) plays Namor McKenzie, aka Sub-Mariner, the ruler of Atlantis. Ramonda (Angela Bassett), T’Challa’s mother is shown ruling over Wakanda, while Letitia Wright and Lupita Nyong'o reprise their roles as Shuri and Nakia. “I am queen of the most powerful nation in the world, and my entire family is gone," Ramonda is heard saying.
“If you've ever seen Chad in person, he had these enormous hands. He was gigantic, it was probably part of the reason why he fit the Panther suit so well," the film’s director Ryan Coogler said during Comic-Con.
"I promise you, I can feel his hand on me right now,” he added.
