While most celebs prefer visiting opulent prize-winning pandals, Sujoy Prasad Chatterjee prefers being away from all the hullabaloo. “Every year, I have performances lined up from Saptami to Ashtami. Navami is my only free day, so I prefer setting it aside to visit all my close friends,” he said.
He has a particular soft corner for the Bonedi Bari Pujo, organised by the Banerjee family on Girish Mukherjee Road. “It is my school friend, Swarna’s Pujo, and his family has been organising it for almost 200 years. It’s open to the public, and a must-visit for me every year,” he beamed.
If you have never experienced the divinity of a historic Durga Puja in a family home, this is your sign to change that in 2024!
