After four years of muted celebrations, South City Mall is all decked up to welcome Poila Baisakh, with decor by artists Suman and Prabir, who have used traditional Bengali motifs like the Owl, Swastik, Kulo and Pakha to decorate the mall. There are also four handis of rosogolla incorporated into the decor to emphasise the importance of misti mukh for festivities! The colours of red and yellow are seen in plenty to mark this auspicious occasion along with hand-painted details that make it so beautiful. The decor also incorporates the motif of the haal khata, which the business community of Bengal opens on the first day of Bengali New Year.
