After representing
Bengal and its food in Singapore earlier this year in May, Sienna is once again
travelling to the Lion City. This time, it’s not the food but Sienna Stores
handcrafted saris and garments, earthenware and more that will shine at the
Shuffling Suitcases store in the bay city.
The Sienna Store in
Kolkata has a beautiful range of handloom saris, shirts, dresses and jackets
along with ceramics, beautiful jewellery and decor pieces, which are made by
local Bengal artisans at their workshop in Santiniketan. After featuring in
various pop-ups around the country, a new capsule collection including soft
cotton and Jamdani weaves will be travelling across borders. Shuffling
Suitcases, a venture by Devyani Kapoor, is a sustainable fashion platform known
for its pop-ups around the country. They also opened their flagship Kolkata
store in Purna Das Road at Hindustan Park, close to Sienna Store and
Cafe.
The award-winning cafe
is temporarily closed for renovation, but they are going global with their
goodies with this two-day pop-up with Shuffling Suitcases in September. So if
you are in Singapore, don’t miss it!
Dates: Saturday-Sunday, September 7-8
Address: 486A, Serangoon Road, Level 2, above Podi &
Poriyal
