If you are in Bangalore there are a few food spots you just cannot miss. Deepika Padukone has been raving about Corner House’s Death by Chocolate for years now and while that is a must try, Kartik Aaryan’s recent cheat day in Bengaluru gives you a hint about where else you must go. The Luka Chuppi star chose two iconic stops, starting with breakfast at The Rameshwaram Cafe in Indiranagar. Kartik indulged in some delectable dosas, a must-try at this restaurant that has grown in popularity over the years. A cup of filter coffee is also a must. Props to Kartik for ordering four cups of coffee in Kannada. The masala dosa and lemon idli are apparently two of the most popular items at this iconic cafe that has four branches in Bengaluru and one in Hyderabad.
Aaryan’s next stop was a hearty lunch at Nagarjuna, which has been serving Andhra-style food since 1984. One of the most popular chains in the south, Nagarjuna has several branches all over Bengaluru. Most visitors usually try their Carrier Meals, where you are served rice, dal, chutney, sambar, rasam, curd, papad, ghee, pickle, gunpowder and payasam — all on one banana leaf for an authentic touch. While the meal is entirely vegetarian, non-vegetarians can pair it with a dry chicken, mutton or fish, with several options available. If meals aren’t your style, maybe the biryani would suit your taste. Check out Kartik Aaryan’s Instagram post for some foodie inspiration. So, will you be visiting these iconic spots on your next trip to Bengaluru?
