Emami Art is celebrating the birth centenary of the celebrated Indian sculptor and printmaker Somnath Hore with an exhibition of his works at the Kolkata Centre for Creativity.
The exhibition curated by K.S Radhakrishnan will display Hore’s intaglio prints, woodcut prints, etchings, paintings and drawings spanning over several decades (1940s–1990s). The showcase will cover various historical and social themes of the 20th-century Bengal and Delhi.
The main attraction of the exhibition is an unpublished sketchbook of the artist depicting his daily life at Santiniketan. The artworks are on display from June 18 to July 24, 2022.
