Captioning a photo of Jawaharlal Nehru University's campus driveway, Srijit Mukherji muses, “This ancient empty street is never too dead for dreaming... #JNUMonAmour”. Since then, he has been leading his followers down memory lane with a series of photos capturing his days at JNU. The director of Dawshom Awbotaar pursued Masters and MPhil in economics at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he reflects, “Going back to JNU is going back to the place where I would like to spend the last days of my life — teaching, waking up to the sound of peacocks, crossing Nilgais to go to lecture halls, and wading through surreal memories wrapped in Bougainvillea.”
Feeling the tug of your own alma mater? Perhaps it’s time to draw inspiration from Srijit Mukherji and reconnect with your educational roots.
