Astronaut Sunita Williams has always been a role model for women around the world, proving that your dreams can take you to great heights. Yesterday, she created history, becoming the first woman to fly on the maiden mission of a new human-rated spacecraft. Williams piloted the Boeing Starliner, with Butch Wilmore serving as the mission commander. Their journey will accomplish several flight test objectives, which includes manually flying the Starliner, with 345kg of cargo. The duo will also spend a week at the International Space Station before returning to Earth. A successful mission will lead to them certifying the Starliner for long-duration operational missions. My Kolkata wishes them a safe and successful space journey!
