Get ready to explore the rich history of Serampore, a town in Bengal that's steeped in culture and heritage for over 400 years. The Danish East India Company left an indelible mark here, and you can discover its impact through a curated tour, organised by Calcutta Heritage Collective.The tour, curated by Rajiv Soni, will have Mohit Ranadeep guiding you through various historical spots in Serampore including the silk and cotton centres to the first newspaper print house. The tour will take you from faith to freedom giving you the best possible understanding of how significant Serampore is in the history of Bengal.
Pre-registrations are required by call or message to the number given below. Charge for members is Rs 1400 while non-members would be required to pay Rs 2000 to confirm their registration. The tour will begin with everyone meeting at Garden Cafe. Alipore. Lunch will be included in the registration fee paid. So, enjoy a Saturday where you get to learn about the culture and history of Serampore on February 10. Save the date.
