The ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy is proving to be bittersweet
for Indian cricket. After Team India salvaged a draw in the third test at
Brisbane after a stupendous bowling effort, Ravichandran Ashwin announced his
retirement from international cricket.
The legendary spinner, who has guided India to historical wins
with the ball while also evolving into a reliable hand with the bat, called the
curtains on a 13-year career during the post match conference. With 537 Test wickets, he is only second to the legendary Anil Kumble.
During his emotional address, Ashwin expressed his gratitude for
representing the country at the highest level and thanked his teammates,
including Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar
Pujara.
Thank you for the memories, Ash!
