This Christmas,
let’s open our hearts and pledge to bring hope and comfort to the less
privileged. Small gestures can bring joy and make a real difference in
someone’s life. You'll see for yourself.
- Educate and empower: Imagine
the twinkle of hope you can ignite in a child’s eyes by ensuring their
education. If you’re in a position to help, consider offering financial
aid to the guard in your housing society or your domestic help to cover
their child’s school fees. Can’t manage the full cost? Gift them books,
uniforms or even help them get admitted to a school. Education should
never be a privilege — it’s a basic right. Together, we can make a
difference — one child at a time!
- Help the elderly: In
many less fortunate families, the elderly often bear the silent burden of
unaddressed health issues. Your kindness can ease their pain. A routine
eye test, a blood check-up or even a visit to the doctor could mean the
world to them. For some, these small necessities are out of reach. Extend
a hand this Christmas and show them they’re not forgotten
- The
gift of giving: Those who help us with household chores like
cleaning the bathrooms or taking the garbage are the ones who face the
most societal taboo. More often than not, they carry generational trauma
of contempt and harassment from the privileged. Break the stigma and start
a new family tradition. Make a small gift basket for them and say a thank
you to them
