In April 2022, Peaky
Blinders bid goodbye to fans with its sixth and final season on Netflix.
However, the show’s creator, Steven Knight, had expressed a desire to continue
the story in some form or another. His dreams have finally come to fruition, as
Netflix dropped a not-so-cryptic Instagram post, sharing a bulky script for ‘A Peaky
Blinders Film’, written by Knight and directed by Tom Harper. The best
part? Cillian Murphy will be returning to play the beloved Tommy Shelby!
Murphy, who recently
bagged the Best Actor Oscar for his stunning performance in Oppenheimer,
became a household name over his six years playing the iconic crime boss of the
street gang that ruled Birmingham after World War I. We’re very excited to see
where Knight takes the character from here!
