The Indian team is
heading to Sri Lanka for a 3 T20I and 3 ODI matches with Gautam Gambhir taking over as head coach. The squads have been
announced, featuring several changes. Suryakumar Yadav will captain the T20I
team following Rohit Sharma's retirement from the format, with Shubman Gill
named vice-captain for both T20Is and ODIs.
In the ODIs, Rohit will
continue to lead from the front with Virat Kohli travelling along with the
team. Riyan Parag and Harshit Rana have received their maiden ODI call-ups,
while KL Rahul returns to the team after a prolonged absence.
This marks a new era for
Indian cricket under Gautam Gambhir, with the Sri Lanka tour as their first outing.
We’re excited to see the brand of cricket GG will bring. Are you? Check out the
squads on Instagram and let us know what you think about the selection.
