Deepika Padukone gets real about diet and health
The actress shares her eating habits and debunks diet myths, promoting balance and self-care on Instagram

There are many reasons why we love Deepika Padukone, but one of the main reasons is that she likes to keep things real. In a recent Instagram post, the actress shared a collage of calorie-heavy dishes, saying, “Surprised to see this on my feed? Well, I eat! And I eat well!” She then goes on to break the myths behind going on a diet and emphasises that the trick is balance, consistency and listening to “YOUR body.”
She explains that the word ‘diet’ often makes people think they need to starve themselves, eat less, or eat things they hate. In reality, diet means the total of all the food and drink a person consumes. The word comes from the Greek ‘diaita’, which means ‘way of life’. Then, Deepika shares her own habits and tells us how she’s always applied them.
She ends the post by saying she’d like to learn about other people's diets and invites them to DM her at @82e.official. Just like this post, she plans to share simpler self-care practices.
