Since taking over the reins, Trincas’ third-generation owner, Anand Puri has constantly been working to revive and expand the restaurant’s glorious legacy. Recently, Anand has also started sharing trivia about the photos that adorn Trincas’ walls through Instagram reels. The latest clip in this series features the story behind a massive monochrome photograph of the restaurant, which was completely damaged when Anand received it. After getting it fixed, he posted it on Facebook in 2020, which invited a reply from Raj Menon, who recognised himself in the picture. Menon used to be a musician at Trincas in the 1960s, and shared a picture from his time at the restaurant, with other incredible musicians from his time, who went on to make very interesting career choices. While one inspired the global disco movement, another ended up as a preacher! Watch the clip to know the complete story.
