Indian comedian, actress and writer Mallika Dua, known for her hilarious jokes, out-of-the-box thinking and relatable content, shared a post that reveals another side of her. She is seen holding a book, The Lost Spells, written by Robert Macfarlane and Jackie Morris. While there’s nothing out of the ordinary about that, she took it a step further by tagging the faceless influencer Sam Red in her caption, writing, “Reading your mind and casting a spell on you @itssamred.” Many of her followers commented on her post, asking to meet the mysterious profile that recently joined Instagram.
As for the read, The Lost Spells is a beautifully crafted collection of nature-themed poems and illustrations, designed to reconnect readers with the natural world. Each ‘spell’ celebrates a different animal or plant using lyrical language and vivid art to evoke wonder and raise awareness of species at risk of being forgotten. The book serves both as a celebration of nature’s beauty and a gentle reminder of the importance of conservation.
