“Dramatic tales with juicy characters. Funny, deep and intriguing. Every story deserves an adaptation” — that’s how legendary filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj has reviewed ace author Kunal Basu’s latest book Filmi Stories. Now, for bibliophiles and Kunal Basu fans, if you haven’t read the book, order now and read up as soon as you can.
However, we are earnestly hoping that the last line of Bhardwaj’s post comes true and the book is adapted on the silver silver (shhhhh…..we also hope Bhardwaj dons the director’s hat).
About Filmi Stories, the 272 pager is priced at Rs. 499 and is published by Penguin Random House India. The collection has eight stories and “are about unforeseen terrors and adventures, surreal comedies, the apocalypses and the sublime poetry of everyday life” (sic).
