The country is
celebrating a landmark T20 World Cup win. India’s last two captains have announced their
retirement from the shortest format of the game and we are in awe of everything
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have done on the field for India — from batting
brilliance to leadership under pressure — in T20 cricket. As they step away
from the format, Penguin India has some book suggestions to honour these
legends and their T20I journey.
On Instagram, Penguin India recommended titles like The Miracle
Makers: Indian Cricket’s Greatest Epic by Bharat Sundaresan and Gaurav
Joshi, which is filled with anecdotes from the 2021 Border Gavaskar Test series
victory over Australia. Another suggestion is Cricket 2.0 by Tim Wigmore
and Freddie Wilde, offering an inside view of the T20 revolution. Given Rohit
and Virat’s success as captains, Leadership Chronicles by Debashis
Chatterjee will help decode some of the deep secrets of leadership through
history.
If you want more book suggestions, check out Penguin India’s post
on Instagram and add these titles to your reading list today.
