Paris, and all the action, drama and emotions from the French city was the focus of the last two weeks, as can only happen when the Olympics Games are on. The 2024 Paris Olympics came to a close with a grand ceremony on Sunday, August 11, and the baton has been passed on to Los Angeles for the LA Games 2028. To receive the honour in spectacular fashion was Tom Cruise. The Hollywood actor pulled off a stunt you cannot miss! Giving us Mission Impossible vibes, he landed with a jump rope on the stage at Stade de France and took the Olympics flag under his protection to transport to LA. The 62-year-old glided into the stadium, shook the hands of several Olympians, and took the flag from Simone Biles before hopping onto a bike and zipping through Paris — past the Eiffel tower and into an aircraft. Cut to LA, Tom did what he loves most — jump out of a plane. And he landed on the LA landmark — the HOLLYWOOD sign. Check out how he announced LA Games 2028, using the iconic Hollywood sign and be sure not to miss out on what could be one of the greatest passing of the baton from Olympics to Olympics yet. Los Angeles it is over to you now for 2028.
