Since last year, P.V. Sindhu has been training with badminton legend Prakash Padukone at the Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence, Bengaluru, in her quest for an Olympic gold. So far, Sindhu has bagged silver in the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games, and bronze in the 2020 Tokyo Games. With the 2024 Paris Olympics commencing from July 26, the duo are just applying the finishing touches to their training program. Sindhu recently shared a picture on Instagram, where she and Padukone were deep in discussion on their Olympic plans. In her caption, Sindhu lauded the ‘father of Indian badminton’ for his knack of teaching and pushing a player better than anyone. The post has received positive comments from his daughter, Bollywood star Deepika Padukone, and her husband Ranveer Singh. Grammy-winning composer Ricky Kej even remarked that Prakash Padukone is the pride of Bengaluru!
