“Protibaar nihoto howar moto aalo jwelechilo, tumi aar ami ek missile utshobe mushroom hotey cheyechilo” — does this line take you to a world of magic and realism? That’s exactly how the entire song of Missile Utshob makes you feel. The song, a concoction of longing and hope, when whispers “akash ganga jurey ghoomer nagar”, hits a note somewhere deep within.
Missile Utshob has been sung by Rishi Panda for one of the most anticipated upcoming projects of Abir Chatterjee - Shri Swapankumarer Badami Hyenar Kobole. Abir plays Dipak Chatterjee, a Bengali detective, in the film.
The film also stars Paran Bandyopadhyay and Shruti Das. Shruti previously starred in Srijit Mukherji’s X=Prem. The lyrics of Missile Utshob have been penned by Debaloy Bhattacharya, and Amit Chatterjee has composed it. Debaloy is also the director of the film.
Shri Swapankumarer Badami Hyenar Kobole releases on January 12. This is the first film under the HoiChoi banner to be hitting the silver screen.
