Deep Phoenix's latest
single, No Longer Human, marks a departure from his acoustic
guitar-driven releases of the past. This instrumental piece serves as a
profound expression of his musical evolution and the knowledge he’s been
imparting to fellow enthusiasts. “I’m venturing down a different musical path,
and this track is a testament to that,” he affirms. Infused with electronic
elements and an abundance of guitar, it weaves in mesmerising notes of piano,
ukulele, tabla, and more. This release is the third in a series of upcoming
tracks that share a similar sonic palette. “I’m no longer fixated on achieving
commercial success. Right now, it’s all about the journey of learning and
sharing,” he emphasises. In terms of rhythm, the songs offer a scope for
diverse interpretations. Whether heard in a 4/4 or 6/8 or ⅞ pattern, according
to this indie artiste, each listener finds their unique groove.
