International music sensation Alan Walker has collaborated
with Bollywood composer Pritam for a new track — Children of the Sun.
Released on September 26, the song blends Walker's signature electronic sound
with Pritam’s Indian influences, creating a dynamic anthem aimed at uniting
cultures. The song also features the voice of Indian singer Vishal Mishra and
incorporates a children’s choir — adding depth to its hopeful and uplifting
message. This collaboration marks Walker’s latest foray into the Indian music
scene ahead of his 10-city India tour, which kicked off on September 27 in
Kolkata.
Children of the Sun draws inspiration from ’80s
synthwave while incorporating contemporary production techniques, showcasing
the seamless integration of global and regional soundscapes. The song is not
only a celebration of musical diversity, but also an effort to promote unity
through art. Walker, best known for his global hit Faded, and
Pritam, a celebrated figure in Indian film music, aimed to create a cultural
moment with this track, resonating with fans from both electronic and Bollywood
music worlds.
