The party season has finally arrived, and it’s time to bring your fashion A-game. If ethnic styles, particularly lehengas, are your go-to, then nailing the glam factor is essential. Lehengas are a favourite among celebrity fashionistas in both Tollywood and Bollywood, and recently, Subhashree Ganguly and Alia Bhatt shared some expert tips on making them ramp-ready. Ready to take notes?
Fashion must-haves from Subhashree’s look: With a sweetheart neckline and sleeves, a graceful lehenga flow, golden embroidery and zari work, every detail of this lehenga is a winner. Paired with gold and stonework jewellery, black smokey eyes, and soft waves in her long hair, Subhashree achieves a cinematic finish. A small red bindi, well-blended blush and nude nails also add the right amount of glam. If you’re a fan of semi-precious or precious stones in jewellery and plan to go all-out, a heavy lehenga styled with such accessories can create a stunning final look like Subhashree’s. Fashion yay’s from Alia’s look: Remember Alia’s lehenga she wore for her wedding with Ranbir Kapoor? Championing sustainability, the Jigra actress wore it again recently, and created a different look. Designed by Manish Malhotra, the lehenga has “180 intricate textile patches” and took “over 3000 hours to complete”, as shared by the fashion designer himself. The embroidery and the shades of threads used, the halter neck crop top makes the attire both trendy and traditional. Alia accentuated her look with statement kundan earrings and bangles, and a bun this time, keeping the makeup dewy and peach toned. See the look here.
