If you regularly binge-watch K-Dramas, you’ve probably been dying to bite on some crispy Yangnyeom chicken or cheesy Hasdogeus. Now, you can!
If you are on Jatin Bagchi Road in Gariahat, you’ll find a food truck serving a tasty slice of Korean street food to Kolkatans. Yum Yum Korean Bucket got its wheels rolling less than a week ago with an opening menu of crispy fried chicken, burgers, ramen, dumplings, corn dogs and boba milk tea. Chicken lovers can try the Gang-Jeong Chicken, which is a crispy Korean fried chicken glazed in a sweet, spicy or sour sauce (as you prefer) and the Snowing Cheese, which is crunchy fried chicken smothered in the goodness of cheese. Complementing the plates of fried chicken are potato wedges and tangy kimchi salad. Palatable vegetarian options include Korean Street Toast, which is grilled sliced bread topped with veggies and cheese, and the snack-on-a-stick Hasdogeus, which is a deep-fried battered hotdog with swirls of cheese.
Make sure to end the sumptuous stopover on a sweeter note by sipping on a frothy glass of mango or strawberry boba milk tea.
Where: Jatin Bagchi Road, Lake Terrace, Gariahat (outside Doiwala)
Pocket-pinch: Rs 200-400 for two
