Yauatcha’s Dragon Boat Festival menu has set sail

Kolkata’s dim sum teahouse Yauatcha just dropped a special menu to celebrate the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival. The month-long limited edition menu which has been crafted by Head Chef Kushal Lama, features some unmissable delicacies including the traditional Zongzi dim sum. The Dragon Boat Festival falls on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, which is in late May or June on the Gregorian calendar. The festival commemorates the death of the famous Chinese poet, and minister Qu Yuan, who was hailed as a national hero in his time.
The exclusive menu highlights picks like Chicken Zongzi dumpling (a sticky rice dumpling filled with chicken, peanut, green gram, water chestnut, and shiitake mushroom), Vegetarian Zongzi dumpling, Mainland Zongzi dumpling and Crispy St Peter’s fish with Thai chilli sauce. The menu is available till July 8, 2022.
