It’s time to mark your calendars! The monsoon in
Bengal has welcomed the Queen of
fish and Oh! Calcutta, the popular
chain of restaurants serving Bengali cuisine, is hosting a Hilsa Festival to
celebrate the most loved fish of Bengal. The fortnight-long food fest will
feature some of the rarest recipes curated by Anjan Chatterjee, the chef turned
restaurateur and chief managing director of Speciality
Restaurants, along with his team of master
chefs. Enjoy Bengal’s famous Hilsa and Eggplant Curry Broth (Ilish Beguner
Jhol), Boneless Hilsa and Banana Flower (Mochar Ilish), Smoked Hilsa, Crispy
Fried Hilsa (Ilish Bhaja), Steamed Boneless Hilsa (Bhapa Ilish), Hilsa with
Poppy Seeds and Coconut (Posto Narkol Ilish), Pickled Steamed Hilsa (Aam Tel
Ilish) and more. You can also savour these dishes at your home with Oh!
Calcutta’s Special Hilsa Meal Box that can be ordered through Swiggy and
Zomato. Takeaway is also available!
