Navratri, a significant Hindu festival, is celebrated with great zeal twice a year across the nation. Fasting stands as a prominent ritual, where individuals refrain from consuming onion, garlic, meat, and other non-vegetarian ingredients. To honour this occasion, Princeton Club has thoughtfully curated a special menu for those observing the fast. Delight in dishes like Jeera Chaas, Sabudana Khichdi, Singhara Atta Ka Paratha, Roasted Makhana and Cashews, Shakarkandi Chaat, Sabu Papad, Sada Aloo Sabji, Kala Chana Ki Sabji, Moong Dal Halwa, and an assortment of freshly cut mixed fruits. These delectable dishes are carefully prepared using Sendha Namak (rock salt), considered permissible during the fasting period.
Sanjay Karmakar, Manager of Operations at Princeton Club, shared, “Navratri signifies deep rest, fasting, meditation, prayers, and other spiritual practices. During this time, people craft dishes sans onion, garlic, meat, and other non-vegetarian ingredients to achieve a distinct flavour. We, too, have crafted a Navratri menu for our valued members and their guests who observe this popular nine-day ritual.”
