Monkey Bar is known for keeping its menu fresh, constantly throwing in eclectic options. This Durga Puja, the restobar is offering a number of quirky picks. There’s Moong and Jowar Pakoda Chaat — a briny pakoda chaat topped with pomegranate, raw mango chutney and rum-infused tamarind chutney, along with Murgir Cutlet — a Bengali-style minced chicken cutlet, Mochar Seekh Kebab — a banana flower and sweet potato kebab with a spicy red chilli sauce, and Radhuni Murgi Tikka — chicken tikka marinated in an in-house masala with radhuni, and smothered in a chutney made with whipped yoghurt, apples and tomato.
An item that steals the show (and every Bengali’s heart) is the Kosha Mangsho Slider — pulled kosha mangsho sandwiched in milk buns and garnished with pickled cucumbers and then served with the house’s potato chips and green chilli mint mayo. There’s also the Malai Chingri Fuluri — a creamy malai curry flavoured with fragrant gondhoraj lebu, and the K&P Maach — grilled fish marinated in kasundi and panch phoron, for those who love their maachh.
