Have you ever tried Kalimpong Cheese? Celebrity chef Shaun Kenworthy’s post on Instagram tells us everything we need to know about the cheese. Chef Shaun writes, “India has hundreds of years of traditional cheese making history, although many people may not think of cheese history and India in the same sentence. This is Kalimpong cheese, first made by the Christian missionaries as many cheese making traditions began.”But where do you find it? Head straight to New Market. These come in the shapes of large and small wheels and you can make pieces according to your requirement. “Crumbly like Cheshire or caerphilly cheese when young but matures if kept nicely into a nice clean slightly sharp Gouda,” added Shaun in the post. These sometimes have holes on them and are often compared to mozzarella. You can eat it directly or with fruits and crackers — or melt it to put on bread.
