When in Paris, have biryani and sev puri. Why? Because the desi heart will always crave desi khana, even when surrounded by buttery baked goods and delicious French cuisine. The India House at the Olympic Games in Paris is serving up a wide variety of delicious Indian dishes, making people from India attending the Olympics miss home, just a little less.
The India House has also brought immense pride to our country as the first ever country house for India at the Olympic Games. It was opened in a star-studded event a day after the official inauguration of the Olympic Games, and was attended by Nita Ambani, who also lit the ceremonial lamp, along with P.T. Usha, Jay Shah, Abhinav Bindra and Shaan, among other notable names.
A reel posted by the official Instagram handle of India House (@indianolympichouse), weaved glimpses of Indians professing their love for Indian food and what they would have at the India House food corner. If you are at the Olympic Games, do drop by at the India House, and if you aren’t, order in your favourite Indian food at home while watching team India shine in Paris.
As for the Olympic Games, My Kolkata wishes the athletes representing India all the very best.
