Now, we don’t have to travel all the way to Kerala to try out its culinary flavours. Chef Piyush Menon is bringing it to our city. On January 12, 13 and 14, the chef is hosting his pop-up, Haute Kerala, at Omo Bistro on Manohar Pukur Road, where guests can enjoy a seven-course meal, curated specially by the chef. Some of the dishes in the set menu will include Pulled Pork in Vindaloo Masala and Micro Herbs, Mushroom with Roasted Pepper and Steamed Rice Cake, Tiger Prawns with Banana Leaves with Rice and Malabar Spinach and Coconut Panna Cotta. These southern flavours will also be accompanied by cocktail pairings and the full bar menu.
The full menu will be a mix of the chef’s family recipes with both traditional and modern touches. He aims to change the perception of south Indian food via this pop-up.
