Prepare yourself for a culinary journey through the coastal towns of Sri Lanka as chef Sulakshana de Mel will be whipping up her family recipes for the attendees as a part of ‘A Sri Lankan Takeover’. Hosted at Waypoint cafe, the social and cultural anthropologist will prepare a lunch based on recipes handed down by her great-great-grandmother’s times through intergenerational memories. Some of the dishes on the set menu will include Kaha Bath, Ala thel dala, Wambatu Moju and Love Cake with ice cream. Along with such a lavish lunch, the chef will also share the history of her town, its people and the confluence of influences she grew up around.
