Bought some bok choy and been wondering if you can grow some too? Here’s a simple five step process to grow bok choy at home this winter.
Requirements:
- Bok choy roots: 2-3 (store bought)
- Water: 1 mug
- Organic fertiliser: 1 tablespoon
Process:
- Take a large pot with soil in it. Prepare the soil by adding enough water for 24 hours before planting the bok choy roots
- Pat the bok choy roots dry using a paper towel
- Make semi deep holes in the soil and place the roots. Cover with soil, leaving the stems facing sunlight and air
- Pour water, sprinkle fertiliser and leave in an area with ample sunlight and air
- Sprinkle water if the soil is moist, and pour water if the soil is dry and wait for leaves to come out from the stems of the plant
Tip:
- Try to chop and plant the very day you have bought the bok choy
