Let’s face it. No one enjoys the scrub-a-dub-dub that follows after a hectic day of playing with colours. But fear not! Now, we have found a way that will take all the worry away. Chef Shilarna Vaze and her daughter Zanu have uploaded an easy recipe for homemade Holi colours, which confirms that heroes don’t always need to wear capes.
The recipe involves a mix of two natural items — flowers and arrowroot. For the yellow colour, just take two marigold flowers, some haldi, saffron, water and arrowroot powder. Then blanch the flower petals and blend the same with haldi, saffron and water. After straining the concoction, mix some arrowroot and let it dry. Your yellow abir is ready! The duo also showed us how to make green, blue and red colours in the reel.
