It’s the era of fusion food, right? While some combinations might seem ordinary, others just strike the perfect chord. Recently, the Instagram account @the_eatman shared a reel featuring Kurmure Bhel with a twist — puffed rice was swapped out for Kurkure, creating a unique Kurkure Bhel. The reel has garnered millions of views, and the recipe looks like the perfect accompaniment to your evening cuppa. Here’s how you can try it yourself:
Ingredients:
- Kurkure - Masala Munch: 100 gm packet
- Masala chana: 1 tsp
- Roasted peanuts: 1 tsp
- Sev (fine): 1 tbsp
- Chaat masala: 1/4 tsp
- Cumin powder (pan-roasted): a pinch
- Coriander powder (pan-roasted): a pinch
- Black salt: a pinch
- Potato (boiled, peeled and diced): 1 pc
- Onion (finely chopped): 1 pc
- Tomato (finely chopped): 1 pc
- Fresh coriander leaves (with tender stems, finely chopped): 4-5 stems
- Green coriander and mint chutney (prepared fresh with tamarind, jaggery and dates): 1 tbsp
- Tamarind, jaggery and dates chutney (prepared fresh): 1 tbsp
- Lemon juice: as per taste
Method:
- In a bowl, take some Kurkure and add boiled potato, onion, tomato and all the dry masalas. Mix well to coat evenly
- Add the green coriander and mint chutney, tamarind, and dates chutney, along with lemon juice. Blend all ingredients thoroughly
- Plate the mixture and garnish with fine sev and coriander leaves, and serve immediately
