What would make a deep fried treat better during the rains? If you add some protein in it! Content creator Sanjana Das (@bengaligirl.tries on Instagram) shared her favourite recipe of Mourola Mach’er Piyaji which is a part of her ongoing Instagram recipe series #itsrainingrecipes.
A cup of tea and some crispy-soft peyajis are what rainy-day evenings are made of, and Sanjana gives us a recipe to elevate our reculate fritters. The content creator mixes up condiments like onion, chilis, coriander, besan, rice flour and other spices and rubs with some mourola fish (Mola Carplet). Then it’s about mixing it up well and frying it up till golden and crispy. She then fries up small portions of this mixture on both sides and gets golden and crispy Mourola Mach’er Piyaji. Served with a side of kasundi or mustard sauce the dish is complete for a lazy rainy afternoon.
